Message	Seems odd Nick, but of all my TH400 customers that decided not to purchase the speed sensor kit, none have ever said they had this problem. If the engine runs fine up to 7400 RPM in 1st and 2nd gears, the ECU doesn't know what gear the trans is in, so you shouldn't have a problem in drive. However, the load is much higher though and it could be taxing your iginition system... try a tighter plug gap to see if that helps any.
